With a 4 day halt between busy work schedules my partner somehow managed to whip up a trip to Italy! The journey is one he has taken multiple times but definitely a first for me.
Seeing the colosseum and Saint peter’s Basilica was a must and we most definitely did!
Insanely impressive structures just from the outside alone. A city with a lot of historic buildings that I felt thrown back into time. Super exciting!
Let’s not forget about the scrumptious food we had, I mostly eat vegetarian food but am slowly transitioning to being vegan which is not an easy feat especially when travelling however, Rome had a lot of options to offer. The 1st restaurant we went to was Bibliothe, a cosy restaurant not too far from the centre. We dove straight into their mouth watering curry in a hurry dish which consisted of decadent curried fried rice, hearty soup, refreshing salad and a tangy side dip with home made bread on the side. Absolutely divine and very filling.
Fast forward to half an hour later when our tummies were settled, we took an easy stroll around the buzzing streets of Rome and tried my best to capture some of the amazing buildings around.
